- The concerns of royalty are a four piece alternative/indie rock band from Prince George, British Columbia. Originally an acoustic / electric / synthesizer two piece, the band has, in the past year, expanded its sound by including bass and drums. The self proclaimed "World's Most Notoriously Punctual Band" might make light of themselves, but The Concerns Of Royalty take their music seriously. Drawing upon a wide range of musical influences and themes, including star gazing and insomnia, the band tries not to limit itself to a specific genre or style of music. Or even specific instruments.
The band has performed at many shows around Prince George, opening for bands such as Said The Whale (Vancouver), Immaculate Machine (Victoria), B.A. Johnston (Hamilton), Brent Randall and his Pinecones (Halifax) and the Stables (Oshawa), as well as performing at fundraisers and local events, such as the Prince George Coldsnap Festival. Currently finishing up production of their first full length album, The Concerns Of Royalty are hoping to bring their fun and relaxed live performance to other parts of Canada.
